Puppy Socialisation Classes
We all know how important it is to give our puppies the very best start in life. That means gentle exposure to lots of different experiences, and the chance to meet all sorts of people, as well as making friends with puppies of a similar age.
Calm Paws' brand new Puppy Socialisation Classes are small (a maximum of six puppies), friendly and full of fun. We ensure that your puppy feels safe from the start, while coaching you in the best ways to introduce your puppy to new things in a supportive and structured environment.
Courses run in four week blocks, and each session lasts an hour. This allows for chatting and settling at the beginning, 45 minutes of fun and exploration, and time for a chat and questions at the end (although questions are encouraged throughout). What is more, the whole family is welcome to attend.
Topics we cover during these sessions are:
Dog body language
Sensible meeting and greeting
Nice puppy play
Simple basic obedience with distractions (other puppies are hugely distracting)
Tricks (just for even more fun)
Basic scent work (to get those sniffers sniffing)
Each puppy will receive a free goody bag at the beginning of the course and a certificate upon completion.
Classes take place from 9.30am - 10.30am on Saturday mornings at St. James's Hall, St. James's Terrace, Leicester, LE2 1NA.
